We are happy to do standing castrations at your premises, providing the facilities are suitable, or at our new facility if you prefer.

This procedure does not fall under our equizone scheme so a visit fee will apply. As it is classed as routine work please be prepared to pay in advance.

Your colt needs to be at least 12 months old and be a suitable candidate for a standing castration.

We need clean dry facilities and access to warm water. Quiet turnout will be recommended as part of the post operative care.

If you are concerned that your horse may be a rig (only have one testicle or they are absent) please get in touch and we will be happy to advise on the best course of action.

Donkeys and miniature ponies are assessed on a case by case basis but we usually ask that they are castrated at the hospital if circumstances allow.
